Helmet is essential for your safety and protection. If you don’t own one you can rent it from ski equipment rental place. For buying we suggest you choose the model with a size regulation.
Goggles or sunglasses
Goggle lenses improve the visibility and protect your eyes from UV rays, injuries and cold. If you prefer to ski in sunglasses, wear a strap so they don’t fell off while you ride.
Mask or bandana
Masks and bandanas are very useful for those windy and cold days. They will keep your face and neck warm.
Outer layers: ski jacket and pants
Your ski or snowboarding clothes should be warm and made out of water/wind resistant and breathable fabric.
The functional ski gloves will protect your hands and keep them warm. For those who don’t own a pair yet – choose the model with a small pocket for a ski pass and regulated bands to wear around your wrist so they can hang around when not being worn.
Crème with filter
WHO fact sheet shows that snow reflects up to 80 % of UV radiation and this number increases at higher altitudes. To compare when you on the beach, sand reflects about 15% of UV. Make sure you pack a sunblock with minimum SPF 30.
Thermal underwear worn under your ski clothes will help you to stay dry and warm. The special fabric transports moisture away from your skin and dry much faster than regular underwear.
Ski or snowboard boot socks
Ski / snowboard socks are designed to squeeze your lower leg muscles. The compression increases the blood flow and warmth.
